Position: ICT Technician

Job Description:

A Technical Support representative works closely with affiliates and provides resolution to various technical and software related issues. This role serves the technical needs of affiliates by troubleshooting product and server issues.  Other aspects of the position include strong communication and customer services skills, adaptiveness to individual users' requirement and the ability to effectively handle numerous tasks at one time.

High level overview:

  • Determining software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to problems
  • Responding to inquiries about software and hardware problems•     
  • Adapting existing programs to meet users' requirements
  • Installing and downloading appropriate software ensuring efficient use of applications and equipment
  • Implementing computer networks, designing and maintaining web sites
  • Update and repair existing equipment
  • Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment such as terminals, printers and modems
  • May provide support in a call centre role
  • Able to work both independently, and as part of a team
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Keep records of software and equipment
  • Run test programs on the computer and related equipment
  • Take details of customer problems by phone, in person or via email
